Cookie Policy

What cookies and similar technologies MisarSEO uses, and how the analytics consent banner works.

Last updated: July 18, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies (such as localStorage) Misar AI Technology Pvt Ltd (the "Company") uses on the public marketing site (https://misarseo.com/) and the hosted Service (https://seo.misar.io/), and how to control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

Public marketing site (misarseo.com)

The public site does not set any cookies for analytics. It uses Plausible Analytics, which is cookieless by design — visitors are counted without a persistent identifier, cookie, or cross-site tracking. The analytics script and event endpoint are proxied through our own domain (/js/script.js, /api/event) rather than loaded directly from plausible.io.

Even though this analytics is cookieless, we still gate it behind consent: no analytics script loads until you click Accept on the consent banner shown on first visit. That choice is recorded in your browser's localStorage (under the key misarSeoAnalyticsConsent, set to granted or denied) — not in a cookie — so we can honor it on future visits without asking again. Clicking Reject stores denied and analytics never loads. You can clear this choice at any time by clearing your browser's site data for misarseo.com, which brings the banner back on your next visit.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on the public site.

Hosted Service (seo.misar.io)

Once you sign in to the hosted Service, a small number of cookies become necessary to make the product work:

  • Session/authentication cookies — used to keep you signed in and to support same-TLD single sign-on across Misar products via id.misar.io. These are strictly necessary; the Service cannot authenticate you without them.
  • Where the active auth mode requires it (for example, when a deployment sits behind Cloudflare Access), Cloudflare may set its own access-control cookie to validate the request before it reaches the Service.

The hosted Service may also use PostHog for product analytics, session replay, and error monitoring, as described in our Sub-processor Register. Form inputs and designated sensitive text are masked before any session replay recording. Necessary authentication cookies are not subject to the analytics consent banner — disabling analytics consent only stops analytics/tracking calls, not the cookies required to keep you signed in.

Your choices

  • Public site analytics — use the consent banner (or clear misarseo.com site data to reset your choice).
  • Hosted Service cookies — session/authentication cookies are required to use the product; you can end a session at any time by signing out. Browser settings let you block or delete cookies generally, but doing so for seo.misar.io will sign you out and may break the Service.
